"I have been painting this enchanted mountain in the four different seasons of the year. Here it is in early spring, during the thaw.
Throughout the year, Monviso can give you great clouds effects, but especially in the month of May. I believe that only a sky full of clouds is more beautiful than a blue sky. And few things are more beautiful than a blue sky. Sublime, theatrical and suggestive, clouds draw a fabulous map of the sky and unleash our imagination. How can you not feel the desire to capture the forces of nature with colours and brushes, the majestic beauty of the sky, the grandeur and power of the clouds when sky and earth merge in whirlpools of steam and shapes lose consistency and materiality?" ---Gabriele Reina
